Contraband Tobacco in Canada: It’s not a victimless crime!

February 7, 2012

The National Coalition Against Contraband Tobacco presents a view of the Canadian illegal tobacco market. The National Coalition Against Contraband Tobacco (NCACT) is one of leaders of the fight against the spread of illegal cigarettes in Canada. Contraband cigarettes are cheap, unregulated, untaxed and sold without any ID checks. NCACT educates parents and politicians in communities across Ontario and Quebec about the spread of illegal cigarettes and dangerous organized crime rings that profit from their sale. Help us fight contraband tobacco and butt in! Visit www.stopcontrabandtobacco.ca and make your voice heard with your local politicians.

..”Sold by criminals using a sophisticated distribution network..”
What..setting up a smoke shack is now considered sophisticated? Gov’t (mainly Mcginty) not only helped CREATE the problem, they’re turning a blind eye to the “Sophisticated distribution network” of shacks. I guess their security is too ..sophisticated.

isn’t it soooo sad that the government isn’t raping our wallets for cigarette taxes? boo hoo. As far as i’m concerned, this is the government’s own fault. Did they think that they could just keep raising taxes and not have people rebel? HAH. The only pople at fault is the Government of Canada.
