Go take an MRI it’s a big super magnet and if you have a pin in you it would rip it out of you, but you dont feel anything because of your blood

You know, I never considered it quite like that, but an MRI machine doesn’t effect the iron in black tattoo ink (re: MythBusters) either.

I am quite convinced that the iron in hemoglobin is non-magnetic though. I’m learning something new each day.

I thought that most iron is a paramagnet. But a ferromagnet will attract the paramagnet?

You are trying to saw that Fe(o) has paramagnetic properties, yet Fe(II) has ferromagnetic properties? I forgot, sorry, please remind me.

I thought magnets usually work by the domains in it, where electrons orbit due to holes/gaps and opposite attractions.
