Northark adopts tobacco-free policy
At its June 10 meeting, the North Arkansas College Board of Trustees adopted a 100 percent tobacco-free campus policy that will be implemented in August. The policy is in response to the Arkansas Clean Air on Campus Act of 2009.

Oregon Supreme Court says Philip Morris doesn’t have to pay $100 million for smoker’s death
A $168,514 award to the family of a deceased Salem smoker still stands, but the Oregon Supreme Court today declined to reinstate a $100 million punitive damage award against cigarette maker Philip Morris. The family will have to go back to court for a new trial to pursue punitive damages.
